Safety Measures: Information and Guidance

We're now cashless! Please remember Bluestone now only accepts card transactions in shops and restaurants.

Over the last year, we've worked hard to create a safe and secure space where our guests can relax, switch off, and make magical moments in our beautiful resort.

Learn all about the health and safety measures put in place and what we've done to make sure everyone can enjoy a real break, together.

Enjoying breaks to remember!

Bluestone is open and we can't wait until you're here again, enjoying amazing adventures at our wonderful Pembrokeshire resort. We're enjoying a beautiful spring here, with birds in the trees, plants, and flowers everywhere, and wildlife galore - why not come and join us?

If you have a break booked but are not sure you can make it due to restrictions, please check our Coronavirus update page, which has guidance for all our guests, here.

What restrictions will be in place?

Wales was moved to alert level zero. These restrictions are regularly updated by the Welsh Government every three weeks - and sometimes - giving us only days' notice. As such we cannot confirm all restrictions that will be in place when you visit, but we're working hard to keep you updated as much as possible.

We also strongly encourage all our guests to keep updated with the very latest guidance from the Welsh Government, which will be followed across the resort. These may be different from restrictions in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland, so please make yourself aware of them before your visit.

Welsh Government Restrictions

You can find details below of current restrictions in place at Bluestone, but please be aware that measures across the resort remain under constant review and may be different during your particular visit.

Important information for your break

Things you should know

Here's what you need to keep in mind as you visit Bluestone:

  • We're a cashless resort, so please be aware that we only accept card transactions in shops and restaurants.
  • Plastic water bottles are not sold on resort. So make sure to bring your own reusable water bottle, that you can fill up at a number of onsite water fountains.
  • Remember to bring your own reusable shopping bag for use in our retail outlets.
  • If you've booked a buggy, remember to bring your up to date drivers licence with you, as this will be required to operate the vehicle.

Dining on Resort

The majority of outlets are now open, all with health and safety restrictions in place to keep you safe, and we ask that you and your group familiarise yourself with them before your stay.

Please remember while we are excited that most of our outlets are open, we are still operating within uncertain times and all guidance, opening times, and menus are subject to change.

To avoid disappointment, we recommend checking your Digital Welcome Pack on arrival or speaking to Guest Services to find out what's available during your break and do not rely on previous break experience.

We are making every effort to provide the best food experience possible under difficult circumstances and are grateful for your ongoing understanding and we will be doing everything we can to ensure your dining experience is a great one!

For more information check our dedicated Food and Drink page, or to discuss further, please contact our Reservations Team.

Keeping you safe: The Guest Charter

Over the last year, we've taken all possible steps to create a safe and secure space for you to enjoy a relaxing and adventure-filled break, with those that are most important to you.

Your safety, along with our staff, is the most important thing to us here at Bluestone, which is why we've created the Guest Charter so it's clear what you can expect when staying with us, and how you can play your part in keeping us all safe.

We're Good To Go

Bluestone National Park Resort, has been officially rated "Good To Go" by Visit Britain, based on the health and safety measures put in place on our wonderful resort.

This special mark is an official signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

Your break: Guidance and help

Arrival and Departure

In our world of a "new normal", we have made some changes to our arrival and departure process to make things simpler.

We've taken steps to reduce interaction with staff at the arrival lodges and brought our pre-arrival registration online. For more details about how it will all work, visit our dedicated page.

In Lodges and Cottages

The cleanliness of our self-catering accommodation is of paramount importance and we are taking extra measures to ensure all areas of the lodges and cottages are thoroughly sanitised and cleaned for your use. All self-catering accommodation will undergo a deep clean in between use, with a number of new measures introduced to ensure the highest standard of cleanliness.

These measures include, but are not restricted to:

- Removal of non-essential items (can be requested by the guest for the duration of visit). Please find a list of the reduced lodge inventory below.

- Additional replacement bin bags provided

- Additional dishwasher tablets – 1 per day of break

- A pure sanitising spray will be left in a safe location in your accommodation for you to use during your stay.

- The Cot, cot mattress (provided in a bag), and additional pillows (provided in a bag) will all be hygiene sealed.

- Remote control placed in sealed clear hygiene bag (please leave it in here for the duration of your stay).

- Once the final check and sanitisation of the lodge have been completed by the Area Supervisor, the lodge door will be hygiene sealed.

- All beds and soft furnishings will be sanitised using a disinfectant specifically designed for these purposes, and highly recommended by the Health Board.

- Regular rotation of pillow and mattress protectors

- Connecting Lodges - In line with the Welsh Government guidelines, two households can now share a Connecting Lodge and doors would not need to be kept locked.

If you want more detailed information, or you have a specific question please get in touch with our Reservations Team who will try to help.

Find out more about what's happening on the resort.

Activities

You can enjoy a range of exciting outdoor activities at Bluestone, which you can find in our Plan Your Stay section. Our activities have been changed to fit within our new enhanced health and safety measures, without compromising on the Free Range Fun! These measures will be explained to you at the start of your session, giving you the chance to ask any questions. The only thing we ask you to do beforehand is to please bring a facemask with you, as there may be a need to use one during the session.

We encourage all guests to pre-book activities before they arrive for their break as with limited numbers on each activity and health and safety measures in place, we cannot guarantee you will be able to take part in all the activities you wish to. If you want to check last-minute availability while on the resort, please contact Guest Services on the number on your keycard and they'll try to help!

Food + Drink

Our cafes, restaurants, and "grab and go" outlets, are waiting and ready for you to enjoy.

There are some additional procedures in place, but you will be able to enjoy delicious, locally sourced food, during your break.

We recommend all our guests to get out and explore the beauty and wonder of Pembrokeshire and its National Park, but it’s important to be mindful and respect the need to stay safe and adhere to restrictions while enjoying our beautiful corner of West Wales.
